The registration window for the fall semester is closed.
Registration for our spring semester 2025 will open on January 20, 2025.
Your parents can subscribe to our newsletter to be informed about the next registration start and more.
IMPORTANT:
- The lecture, workshop, and excursion spots are limited and allocated by lottery. This means that by registering, you do not secure a spot. It does not aply "first come first served".
- The registration for the lecture series applies to all four lectures.
- If you are selected, you will be informed between September 30 and October 5 whether and where you have received a spot.
- NEW: Due to increasing no-show numbers in recent semesters, we will ask for a confirmation about three weeks before each workshop and excursion. If you do not confirm your spot, it will be released. No confirmation is required for the lecture series.
- NEW: We will maintain a no-show list starting in fall 2024. If children who are selected for a workshop or field trip and have confirmed their seat fail to attend without prior excuse, they will be excluded from all Children's-UZH events for the following two semesters. This means they may not participate in Children's-UZH in the spring and fall semesters of 2025. Of course, it is always possible to cancel the attendance before the event.
- We send acceptances and rejections for each format separately. Therefore, if you register for four formats, you will receive four emails from us.
- Diplomas are only issued after attending all lectures. We make exceptions for excused absences. Please notify us via email in advance if you cannot attend.
- If you have registered for the lectures and are selected, you will receive your access confirmation (Legi) no later than the week of October 14. You will need the Legi to enter the lecture hall.
- Our lectures are live-streamed. This streaming offer is only for lectures and not for workshops or excursions.
- Children participating in our online broadcasts are not entitled to a semester Legi or diploma.
- Children in grades 3 to 6 are eligible for our lectures. The intended grade level for each workshop and excursion is specified. There are strictly no exceptions for children who are not yet in 3rd grade, regardless of their level (Children's-UZH is not a gifted education institution).
