How to Register
Registration for our spring semester 2025 is closed. You can register for our fall semester from September 1.
Your parents can subscribe to our newsletter to be informed about the next registration start and more.
IMPORTANT:
The lecture, workshop and excursion places are limited and will be drawn by lot. This means that you have not yet secured a place with your registration. It is not a case of “first come, first serve”.
Registration for the lecture series is valid for all four lectures (you can't register for single lectures).
You will be informed between February 3 and 22, 2025 if you have been allocated a place. From spring semester 2025 on, we will only send out acceptances. If you do not receive an acceptance letter, this means that you have unfortunately not been offered a place.
NEW: In the last few semesters, more and more children who were drawn by lot did not show up for our workshops/excursions without an excuse (so-called no-shows). We will therefore ask you to reconfirm your place three weeks before each workshop and excursion. If you do not reconfirm your place, it will be released.
No reconfirmation is required for the lecture series.NEW: We have a no-show list. Children who have been drawn by lot for a workshop or excursion and fail to attend without excuse after reconfirmation will be excluded from the Children's UZH events for the following two semesters. This means that they will not be allowed to take part in the Kinder-UZH in the spring and fall semesters of 2025. It is of course always possible to withdraw from the course in good time before the event.
Diplomas are only issued after all lectures have been attended. We make exceptions for excused absences. Please let us know in advance by e-mail if you are unable to attend.
If you have registered for the lectures and have been drawn by lot, you will receive your confirmation of admission (Legi) in the week of February 17 at the latest. You need the Legi to get into the hall.
Our lectures will be streamed live. This streaming offer only applies to lectures and not to workshops or excursions.
Children who take part in our online broadcasts are not entitled to a semester legi or a diploma.
Children from 3rd to 6th grade are admitted to our lectures. The workshops and excursions indicate the grade level for which the event is intended. We make no exceptions for children who are not yet in the 3rd grade - regardless of how advanced they are (Kinder-UZH is not an institution for the promotion of gifted children).
